Orange buffet

06 June 2011

I stumbled upon this fantastic orange dresser/buffet and had to share. Available at Live.Like.You for $998.

Make it! Hardware Store Decor

13 September 2010

Curbly has done it again releasing the third book in their Make it! series, this time focusing on home decor pieces you can create from stuff purchased at any hardware store. Intriguing projects include the posh pipe desk and an exposed bulb chandelier. Click here to download the PDF for $9.99 or have a printed version delivered to your door for $22.

Another reason to love Target

22 March 2010

Ever since seeing this picture on flickr I have been on the lookout for that lamp. What do I find the other day at Target? This vase, which is very similar, for $20. Works well as a vase or I could turn it into a lamp. What do you think?

What day is it, again?

23 February 2010

I don't know about you, but I have a hard time keeping track of the day and date. Thanks to my new clock from Kohl's I won't have that problem any more. Isn't it cute!

Make it! Mid-Century Modern

10 December 2009

As you must be able to tell I am very into crafting and DIY. So I was very excited to learn that curbly has just released a great e-book called "Make it! Mid-Century Modern". From what I can see my favorite projects are the atomic ball clock and Girard inspired ottoman. Click here to download the PDF for $9.99 or have a printed version delivered to your door for $18.

Patterned floors

22 July 2009

DIY patterned floors have been popping up all over the place and I'm loving them. Here are my favorites:

Making it Lovely

Within the next month I might be attempting one of these myself.

Magnetic art for your appliances

15 July 2009

This is definitely something new and different that I haven't seen before. Magnetic art for your appliances.

The Target piggy banks are back! I have been wanting one of these since last year, when I failed to buy it immediately and by the time I went back for it, it was gone. They come in copper and chrome and look much better in person. There are even little baby piggy banks, and elephants if pigs aren't your thing. At $14.99 who can resist. I ended up buying both.

Thanks to Target restocking the Orla Kiely merchandise I was able to give this canister a good home. It now houses all of my charging cables for cell phones, iPods, etc... Too bad the lids aren't very tight because the big green container would make a great cookie jar.

TP storage

23 April 2009

This was originally posted by Real Simple and then picked up by Apartment Therapy.

You can file this one away under completely random posts but I love this idea. I'm not sure how it would work in real life, with all the moisture and dust in a bathroom, but it looks nice in the picture. How do you store your TP? I keep one on the roll and the rest in the hall closet.

Rug roundup

24 March 2009

Ikea Andrea Rug $299

Thomas Paul Coral Rug $150-$814

This one looks soooo comfy.
WestElm Sheepskin rug $149-$249

And now let's have a moment of silence for my favorite rugs that have been discontinued:

West Elm Taksim/Pottery Barn Moorish Tile

CB2's Morocco

CB2's Sleepy Hollow

CB2's Burst

TV frame

03 March 2009

I had to pick up some photographs from our photographer at work the other day and I was introduced to something I have never seen before. Not only is his house very nice but he had his TV in a frame and a dachshund (I want a dachshund sooo badly). Normally I'm one who would prefer the TV to be hidden when not in use, but I like this idea too.

The picture above is from Pottery Barn or check out framemytv.
